First off........

After some “gentle persuasion” from my friends, I decided to create a blog.

I initially had several reservations, the main issue being what was I going to write…? I didn’t even keep a diary as a young child, and now I’m supposed to write my musings on a regular basis..? aacckkk!

Plus what was I going to write that would capture the attention of the general public so they would be inclined to read it (apart from my loyal, wonderful friends who have promised to save the blog under favourites) ;-)

But I was surfing through some other peoples' blogs and thinking to myself, if these people can do it, so can I…. I think blogs represent some sort of an innocent voyeuristic look into other people’s lives…. and people enjoy reading them …… blogs are about real people, going through real life experiences…… sort of a toned down reality show ;-)

Finally, on a fine Monday evening, bored at work (so what else is new) I decided to take a plunge and create a blog!

First up, I was racking my brain to come up with a name. I finally chose the name Athena, after the Greek Goddess who represents intelligence & logic (doesn’t necessarily represent the traits of the blog owner). Thanks Javard for saying it’s so symbolic as opposed to your name hehehe……

Anyway here it is, my humble first posting….. here’s to hoping there’ll be many more to come!
